Blood from a victim was found inside. VANCOUVER —
One of the most common problems in Robert's court observer (Willie)
The 2007 trial in Picton is: does he have a criminal partner?
There is always a problem with his brother Dave, who lives with the defendant at the Coquelin farm in the same port and has multiple sex toys in his bedroom, including a person carrying the DNA of an unidentified woman, her DNA was also found in a freezer in the slaughterhouse.
But police testified that they could not find evidence that Picton's younger brother had something to do with the murders of the women.
And three friends from Willie Picton-Lynn ellinsen, Pat Casanova and Dana Taylor ---
He was arrested but never charged.
Police said there was no evidence to support the criminal charges. RCMP Staff Sgt.
Wayne Cleary, and then the second one. in-
The missing women's task force headquarters testified at voir dire on August.
2007. when the jury left the room, Ellingsen was arrested because the information she provided to the police on August 1999 about seeing a slaughtered body at the Picton slaughterhouse was not yet available
"We have reason to believe that she knows or may be involved in this situation," Clary said . " He added that the police finally decided that she was not a suspect and therefore did not make any charges.
He said Taylor was arrested while receiving police hacking and covert operations, "she may have some knowledge and/or involvement" in the case.
Casanova could say the same, Clary said, but no evidence was found that the three murders were with any of them.
Casanova is under surveillance, bugging, lie detector and police covert operations-including the purchase of his band saw, a meeting on the Albion Ferry, and the driving of rental vehicles and women to the hotel(
The jury heard that a band saw seized by the police from his home in Casanova Surrey carried human DNA, but was not enough to determine who it belonged. )
The official position during the trial was that Picton had killed six women on his noble Port Lin property, an act of his own.
The defense argues, however, that this vast farm is a "hive of activity" and that others have channels and means to commit crimes.
The defense is most concerned about Taylor-whether during the 2007 trial or during the legal debates on 2006 and 2007, the jury is not in the room.
After lifting a series of publishing bans, the details can now finally be disclosed.
The defense has succeeded in arguing that Taylor may be considered at trial as an "substitute suspect" of Andrea Joesbury's death, and that one of the six women in Picton was convicted of murder.
"We are skeptical about her activities. but]
There is no evidence that she was involved in the murder, "Clary explained in voir dire on August 2007.
However, Clary said that Taylor's death of Joesbury, Mona Wilson and Sulina abusevey remains a "person of interest "---
In 2001, Taylor went missing while hanging out on the farm.
Picton was later sentenced to three murders.
"We suspect she is [Taylor]
Related to Sir.
In fact, Picton and she told us that she took Joesbury to Picton farm, "Cory testified at voir dire, who was not present on the jury.
Taylor is a "difficult person" with a drug addiction, and police have tried to interview him many times, Clary said.
"She's still a mystery.
Although Taylor's DNA was found on or near the Picton property in connection with the murder victim, defense lawyer Adrian Brooks said Taylor refused to give the police in a difficult interview
"There is a woman here who tries to break her and is thrown into the interview room.
"Everything is to break her, she is the strongest person in the world," Brooks told trial judge James Williams . ".
In one voir dire, Williams said to Brooks: "In my opinion, part of your position is that there is a good reason to believe her [Taylor]
There's blood on her hand.
"Yes, yes," Brooks replied . "
In another voir dire, defense lawyer David Leiden said that on May 17, 2002, three months after the arrest of Willie Picton in the case of missing women, the police intercepted Taylor and pi.
Dave Picton asked Tyler if he knew the woman whose brother was accused of killing.
Taylor did not answer, Leiden said, but Leiden pointed out that it was a lie because she knew Joesbury at least.
Dave Picton also accused Taylor of bringing some women to the farm, but she denied that, laiden said.
It's clear that Tyler told Dave Picton that she didn't like the east side of the city center and never lived there.
It's also a lie, Leiden said.
In the voir dire incident, the defense said it planned to call a female witness who knew Taylor and Joesbury.
In the defense case, however, the witness did not appear and an arrest warrant was issued against her.
She never testified during the trial.
Layton told the judge that on June 2001, just before the disappearance of Joesbury, the witness and Joesbury stayed on the same floor as the Roosevelt Hotel in the Eastern District.
He said that the witness testified at a preliminary hearing in Picton that Taylor, who had stayed at the same hotel, asked Joesbury for a party on the night of her disappearance.
Layton said the witness would testify that she was trying to convince Joesbury not to go, but it was in vain and she never saw her friend again.
Leyton said the witness would also testify that Taylor bullied Joesbury and that the missing woman was afraid of Taylor.
Leyton thought Taylor was jealous because Picton paid Joesbury in June 2001 for cleaning his trailer. (
A former desk clerk at Roosevelt testified during the trial that Taylor would be jealous when Picton gave Sex Money --trade workers. )
The official witness, Gina Houston, testified that Taylor once said josbury: "I'm going to kill f-----
But the judge ruled that the jury did not need to hear this sentence, because it was an expression that was often used and very few people deliberately said it.
Taylor appeared briefly in voir dire, but she was never summoned to testify by the crown or by the defense.
