In order to write a good erotic novel, we first need to consider who read it and why.
Most readers are women who are looking for love, desire, sex and escape from reality.
Maybe they read stories or passages to their loved ones as foreplays?
After all, what is more sexy than a comfortable bedtime reading with its own happy ending?
But readers want to be both entertained and opened.
They need situations that they can involve or want to fantasize about.
Like any novel, they want to laugh, or be surprised, or engage with characters so much that they really care about what happens to them at the end of the story.
Character-driven plot your character will create their own plot by their reaction to the situation.
It doesn't make much sense to force Timid Virgins to attend a Roman wedding --
