A "one country" candidate survived the issue of ownership of the sex store and information on domestic violence on Facebook, winning the support of Paul Hansen to continue his campaign in Queensland
Thuringova's candidate, Mark Thornton, confirmed that he owns Cupid's hut, but said he didn't know that nearly two years ago, the store's Facebook page wrote: "Good sex should be in the gray area between" itchy war "and domestic violence ".
A state leader, Senator Hansen, rejected the request of Queensland minister of domestic violence, Shannon Feltman, that she condemn Mr. Thornton's "regrettable comment ".
"I talked to him about running a legitimate registered business, and his partners actually run it," Senator Hansen said in Townsville on Friday . ".
"I will not flinch from this, nor will I object to mark.
"When a country once again caught the attention of the campaign, Opposition Leader Tim Nichols was troubled by the past policies of his Liberal Party, which cut funding for health services and schools in power.
Mr. Nichols announced four new drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers across the state as part of the LNP $52 million strategy, which, if elected in November 25, would combat drug meth.
But Health Minister David Cameron Dick reminded voters that he had cut spending in the sector during the previous Newman administration as finance minister.
"Tim Nichols even cut $14 million from drug and alcohol services, forcing 20 staff members to leave institutions like the drug sector, Boston and the Queensland Alcohol and Drug Foundation, Mr. Dick said in a statement.
But Nichols denies his past, saying he is focused on the future.
"I will not respond to what Cameron Dick said.
"I'm here today to actually say that this is what the LNP government I lead will do," he told reporters in Toowoomba . ".
Prime Minister Annastasia Palaszczuk visited a school among Everton voters of lnp mp Tim Mande, where she promised to provide more than half a billion dollars in new capital to build
She lashed out at Mr. Nichols for threatening to close the school during the time of the minister of finance and for not fully maintaining the state's facilities.
LNP fought back, claiming Labor was catching up after failing to provide schools in the past three years.
A few hours later, it was revealed that MS and Mr. Nichols, after failing to agree on a date, would not go directly to the traditional debate on the campaign.
The debate at the Queensland Media Club has traditionally been held in the last week of the campaign, but Labor and LNP hope to be held on different dates.
Instead, the club will host the two leaders separately in the last week of the campaign, where they will give a speech and receive questions from journalists.
