The page report, written by two leading Vatican investigators, on the depth of the Chilean scandal, undermines the church's credibility in Latin America, where the Roman Catholic country pope resides.
The two investigators, Archbishop Charles scrumona and Bishop of Spain Jordi betomei, will return to Chile on Tuesday to begin what the Vatican calls a "healing" mission to Osano.
Francis accepted the resignation of Barros on the eve of Barros's arrival, basically giving Scicluna and ber in helping to heal the divisions of the parish where Barros was never fully accepted as bishop

Bertomeu's report uncovered a larger scandal involving several religious groups, including the Franciscan, the Legion of Christ, the Marist Brothers and the priests and brothers of the Salesian church.
It also revealed that the Chilean hierarchy systematically concealed and minimized evidence of cases of abuse, destroyed evidence of sexual offences, and pressured church investigators to discredit allegations of abuse, and showed "gross negligence" in protecting children from paedophile priests ".
The findings were leaked to the media during the Vatican by Chilean bishops, opening Pandora's new box of charges, and recently Francis became the first pope to mention "abuse and cover-up culture" in the Catholic Church.
The biggest new scandal is exposing the sexual ring of a gay priest in the parish of the Bishop raqqagua, head of the church's sexual abuse prevention committee in Chile.
So far, 14 priests in langkaua have been suspended, and the Bishop has resigned as chairman of the committee after acknowledging his slow response to allegations of abuse against a minor.
Juan Carlos Clarette, a spokesman for a group of Osorno lay Catholics strongly opposed to Barros, said that Francis's acceptance of resignation marks the "end of destruction" that the Pope himself caused to the parish by appointing Barros first ".
Claros said that barros's departure was a "minimum condition" for starting a dialogue with the Vatican to try to rebuild peace in the parish, calling for a process to find the "truth" and give justice and compensation for the damage caused.
"Bishop Barros is no longer a bishop, but he has always been a brother in his faith, and for this reason, if he also wants to seek forgiveness, he will be asked to participate and take responsibility, Red Wine said.
