About 1,500 parents and other residents in the Northern California city of Fremont signed an online petition calling for the removal of the ninth
Grade health textbooks, they say, expose teens to the subject of sexual restraint when discussing ropes, handcuffs, sex toys and vibrators.
Community members say the book is approved by the Fremont Unified School District Board of Education for the ninth session of your health today
The grade health class is "very inappropriate" for teens because it addresses sexual fantasies and sex games.
A petition signer named Thomas Low wrote: "In a city of different races and religions, before the use of sex education textbooks is allowed, it would be better to have a committee with broad representation to review these textbooks.
This is the only way to avoid disputes that later hurt the reputation of the Board of Education.

The level book will be removed from all Fremont schools and a health textbook selection committee will be requested.
Jim Morris, head of the area, said in a statement that high school health teachers reviewed many textbooks and determined that the book "is the best choice in terms of accuracy and consistency with California standards"
"For the accuracy of medical care, the health service coordinator in the region also read the book.
Morris said he thanked the parents for their feedback, but still supported the judgment of staff and board members in the region.
"For those who are concerned about the handling of this book for human sexuality, this book does not constitute a health course ---
"This is a tool to help teachers teach standards," he said . ".
Parents can always choose
Morris said he did not let their children attend classes, but he encouraged them to meet with their children's teachers to discuss any concerns about textbooks.
