A new study conducted by the University of North Carolina found a link between exercise and the frequency of men thinking and having sex.
The study, published in Sports and Exercise Medicine and Science, looked at 1,100 adult men who claimed to be athletes.

The researchers then divided the people into different groups based on their hard work and time.
Through an online survey, the team asked men about their sexual impulses, how often they actually had sex, and their interest in sex.
There is a clear pattern.
After looking at the data, the researchers found that men who exercised at "moderate to mild" intensity and duration had higher sexual impulses than men who reported "long term" and "intense" exercise.
"Strenuous exercise is related to decreased sexual desire," Anthony Hackney, a professor of physical physiology and nutrition at the University of North Carolina, told The Times.
Hackney clarified that the study does not necessarily mean that too much exercise can actually reduce sexual desire.
The data shows only the connection.

Physical fatigue and testosterone levels can drop after intense exercise, which may play a role.
Researchers say they need to do more to find a closer connection between exercise and sex.
