Some female riders are openly opposed to the change, and the National Highway Championship sees more and more athletes joining the discontented chorus.
The transfer of funds for cycling in Australia used to be called high
The performance unit, now known as the Australian cycling team, has seen some changes in the support provided to top Australian cyclists.
Announced that the women's development team will no longer be supported by the Australian cycling team and the men's development team Michelle ton

Scott was disappointed by many people in the cycling community.
In recent years, the women's development team has mainly funded from Wiggle-
Rochelle Gilmore, a High5 owner and former elite cyclist, is supported and staffed by the Australian Cycling Association (CA.
For aspiring young people, this is considered an important step towards sports.
Almost all of the riders on the women's world tour are the products of the team.
National Highway champion Shannon Masod
SVB) speak out in her post
Regarding the race press conference to disband the team, she has been a member of the team for the past three years.
"I will not hide my disappointment with this decision," Malseed said . ".
"I think this is an important part of developing the road team for women.
"I hope to be able to make a difference so that people like me have a chance to compete in Europe.
This is an important part of my development and I spent five years with the Holden cycling team.
"Malseed is the women's development team and its alumnus, Gracie Elvin (Michelle-
Scott) also highlighted its value in a Facebook post.
"It's great to see the current depth of Australian women's bikes," she said . ".
"Interestingly, the top three out of the top 20 and 13 are part of the Australian development team.
"High in Australia-
Since bringing the acting director from the Sky team in early 2017, he has been the head of CA to ensure a return to the level of success in Australia's past Olympics.
"We want to have a strong performance focus," Jones said . "
"Every decision needs to be based on what will make us go faster.
This is what I call the real culture of acting.
"When I first came in as an interviewer, they said it felt a bit like a treadmill. . . Groundhog Day.
One year will fit into another.
"I believe that employees must reach the peak, not just athletes.
Our goal is the Olympic Games. This is why we get the funds. it is also our primary goal.
"The Women's National Highway team faces huge hurdles in getting their full quota or the drivers they qualify for the World Championships, and Rachel Neeland and Chloe Hosking have successfully attracted
The choice of the team.
Jones explained the recent changes to shift attention from the road driver to the track.
"Our decision is to maximize our chances of winning.
"I don't care if it's a man or a woman," he said . ".
"In fact, we have a better chance of turning seconds, three seconds and four seconds from track results into victory.
Ask most road riders, they will say one
The road race during the day is a bit like a lottery ticket.
"If you take this as your personal money, I do it, we get a lot of investment and we have to put that money where we can get the most out of it.
"It is impossible for you to please all and hear all the comments. . .
I thought it was wh snoring, but maybe the table has turned.
I think we already have reasonable evidence.
Decision based on facts
"Focusing on the transfer of funds for track and field athletes allows people in the community to question where our next generation of road stars will develop.
Matt Keenan noted on the National Radio that if Cadel Evans passed the system today, he would not have any support for the Australian cycling campaign.
"I think our current investment on this road is focused on endurance (endurance track and field program)," Jones said . ".
"I believe that athletes should win on the track when they are young, develop their stamina and take the career path from there.
I'm willing to do more if I have a wand
I don't have a wand. I'm not Harry Potter-
But with the resources we have, we must give priority.
"Women on the road face a different situation than men, and when they reach the highest level of the sport, even in some cases, they get a certain degree of economic stability.
These women are not safe and many seek financial independence, or at least education that can be relied upon before they are engaged in a cycling profession.
For those athletes who are not lucky enough to enter the Australian cycling team, the road offers the best opportunity for progress, and teams in Europe and the United States offer the sport's career the ability to be stylish.
With the demise of the women's development team in providing the rider with access to Europe, Jones sees a different direction forward in the future for women's road racing.
"All subjects of cycling are very different, almost like a different sport," Jones said . ".
"With the way, I think our role as a national institution should be more systematic.
We want to improve and stimulate domestic cars, we need stepping stones.
"So what we have to do is promote more NRS (National Road Series) cars.
It won't be fast-
Not five-minute job -
But what CA can highlight is competition, team and domestic development, not sending teams overseas as I said, which is very expensive.
"In recent years, NRS have been key to the production of some star riders, and Lucy Kennedy and Shannon malade are the ones who have recently joined the international competition for local competitions.
The two are also members of the women's development team this season.
In the past few seasons, the number of NRS games has gradually decreased, with only 26 days of men's games and 18 days of women's games on 2017.
"Our mission is to provide a good domestic racing infrastructure and I think that should be our main goal," Jones said . ".
"In general, road racing is more of a private sector.
Anyone can manage a team.
We need to develop high quality team and good competition.
